About Kristen Myers

Kristen Myers is a Pennsylvania-born artist and illustrator based in South Florida. Her lifelong fascination with animals and the natural world, together with her love of folklore, mythology, and fantasy, has shaped a distinctive body of imaginative work where the natural and fantastical intertwine.

Formally trained in the arts from a young age, Kristen later pursued fine arts and communication design at the university level, building a strong foundation in both traditional art and visual design. She works primarily in watercolor, alcohol-based markers, and colored pencil. Her richly layered illustrations bring together feminine figures, animals, mythic creatures, and imagined worlds, combining intricate detail with vivid color and unmistakenable sense of fantasy.

Her work explores themes of strength, transformation, mystery, and imagination. Familiar creatures take on extraordinary roles, while women become warriors, guardians, sirens, and shapeshifters within worlds that feel at once recognizable and otherworldly. Rather than simply illustrating fantasy, Kristen creates worlds that invite the viewer to imagine the story behind the image.

An award-winning and published artist and illustrator, Kristen's work has been selected for juried exhibitions and presented in both solo and group exhibitions. She is also the creator of The Wild & The Divine, an illustrated coloring book featuring her original artwork.

Kristen continues to create original artwork and develop new collections from her South Florida studio, Animals and Spirit.
